Farewell to 2018 - A Year to Remember

As we prepare to close the office on the last business day of 2018, it is an opportune time to reflect on the year that was for Shaw & Bunner Legal.

2018 will always be one to remember - the year of our launch. The year that two lawyers took a punt, moved into an old bank office and commenced building a business from scratch.

We set out with a plan to build a legal firm which met the needs of the local community. We wanted to be of value to our clients.

And that is where the motivation lies – to serve our clients. To provide solutions and deliver results.

We wouldn’t be here today without our clients and we take the opportunity to thank each and every one of them. Thank you for instructing us. Thank you for trusting us.

We started with no clients 10 months ago. We are fortunate to have opened in excess of one file per day in the time that we have been opened. We have built a diverse practice in under a year and achieved some amazing results for our clients.

We also express our gratitude to our community who has embraced us and supported us from day one. We genuinely feel like part of the local business “family”.  We have had the joy of presenting to the Central Hunter Business Chamber, Branxton Playgroup, Branxton Lions Club, the VIEW Club, the Maitland and Cessnock Rotary Clubs, the Branxton-Greta Labor Party and are founding committee members of the Hunter Valley Boutique Collective.

We have shown our support to the Greta Branxton United Cricket Club, the Branxton Greta Memorial Cycle way, Central Hunter Business Expo day, Kirkton Public School, Branxton Preschool, Branxton Playgroup, Branxton Lions Club and Cessnock Rotary Club.

In the past year we have had the fortune of being interviewed by the COALFACE Magazine, Lawyers Weekly, the Australasian Law Management Journal and have produced a fortnightly law column to the Branxton Greta Vineyard News.  We have also enjoyed a regular segment on 2NM Hunter Valley News Radio.

We could never have anticipated the opportunities that would present themselves to us in our first year of business. We are truly grateful.

And whilst we reflect on 2018, there is much excitement as we move into 2019. We have GRAND plans for the New Year and are highly motivated to ensure continual business growth and development for SBL.

We wish everyone a safe and merry festive season and we look forward to 2019!!
